About DSI
DSI President, Cathy DeMartinis, has more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry. Her core areas of expertise are Medicare regulation and documentation standards as they relate to physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Having provided clinical service in acute hospital, rehab hospital, outpatient, home health and long term care settings; she is uniquely qualified to provide realistic application of Medicare regulation and documentation standards.
In addition to her direct clinical experiences, Cathy has been both a rehab agency administrator and a manager of PT, OT, and ST practices, giving her complete understanding of the steps involved from clinical service delivery to reimbursement outcome.
Cathy continues to hold active physical therapy licenses in Illinois and Wisconsin and is a member of the APTA. She is an annual guest lecturer for the physical therapy students of Northwestern University and the physical and occupational students at Midwestern University giving them clear perspective on real-life documentation practice.
She has been president and owner of Documentation Solutions, Inc. since 1990.
